IP2M-841 Motion detect, notifications and record

Post by RobynBanks »

I've got a gardener working at my house whilst i'm at work, I've got my camera facing out through the window.
I've set the camera up to send me notifications of when he entered the viewing area, and the camera begins to record, however i seen to get multiple notifications of him moving around in the same area. is the following possible:

Gardner enters motion detect area, push notification sent ,camera begins to record for 10 mins and then stops, Gardener re-detected process starts all over again?

thanks

Hello RobynBanks,
Its possible to increase the triggered time on the camera so that the get less notifications for the same event. Please login to the cameras web interface and under set up > Event > Video detect , try increasing the anti-dither value to a higher one.

Hi ,

thanks for the reply, i understand that changing the dither time, is just setting the period that you will receive only 1 alert in, and that you will receive a 2nd alert once that period has expired and another motion is detected......is that correct?

However the dither only has a max period of 100 seconds therefore how do i get for example one motion detected and video recorded of say 10mins?

thanks

Yes you are correct on the anti dither time. I believe it is not possible to set up recording that way. You can set up the video file length under Set up > Storage > Record control > Pack duration.

as i understand it the video length only applies to the duration of the file length whilst in continuous record mode, it doesn't set the duration of the recording to be made once a motion has been detected.....is that correct?

thanks again
