IP2M-841 connection issues after web access

Post by 1920tvl »

I have an Amcrest IP2M-841 ProHD 1080P (1920TVL) WiFi

I have an issue and a question:

Here the issue: after I setup my cam on my android phone (no issues), I logged into my web access to format the SD card, and tweak some settings. After I get out of the web access, and go back to my phone, the AmcrestViewPro on my phone cannot connect to the camera anymore – it tells me connection failed, or something to that effect. I have to delete the cam on the phone app, and add it again, then it works.

The question: On the web access site, I want to set the PTZ to a lower speed (defaults at 5, which is way too sensitive for the touchscreen on my phone, I want to have the movement way slower), but I cannot figure out how to save that lower setting, after I logout and back into the web access, the default 5 is back.

Appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Hello,

If you get that issue again, just force quit the app from the application settings and try again.

For the PTZ speed, I believe the changes you make stays even though it changes back to 5. Please try pan/Tilt to check if it stays that way or actually defaults to the original value.

Melvin: thank you for your reply.

Re: PTZ speed, negative, it does not change, i don't see any difference in the android app, it moves just as fast as before

Re: web app, I restarted the phone, uninstalled the app and re-installed it (and set up cam, access web, etc, the whole thing ...) and no change.

I will keep in mind the Force Stop app idea ...

So now I am thinking if I ever want to format another SD card and/or access some settings in the web access interface, I will have to go through this whole annoyance again....
