IP Camera Web Access
IP Camera Web Access
Have two cameras on my nvr system, when I try to log into web access one camera go to Ip Camera Web Access (Login) and the other goes to Ip Camera Web Access (Com.Login) . Why does it go to Com.Login ?
Re: IP Camera Web Access
This is something I've had one of my cameras do and, although I can't be sure, I think it just might be connected with attempts to connect to cloud storage. I resolved it in the end by doing a factory reset.

Re: IP Camera Web Access
Thanks longedge, guess I will give it a try. Just playing with the ir setting for night time. Still getting a little reflection off overhangs. Been thinking of shutting off the camera ir and going with a ir blaster in different location. Love the camera in day time but not 100% happy with night time. Guess is a trial and error thing for proper placement.
Re: IP Camera Web Access
As I've said elsewhere, IR blasters get a big thumbs up from me, but you still need to be careful about how you site them especially making sure that they don't point either at the camera or anything very reflective close to the camera. Experiment before the final fix

Re: IP Camera Web Access
Thanks Funny thing I just tried to long on my camera and it went to regular login, not sure why it went to com.login before. This stuff has been a real learning curve for me,my biggest problem is I want things Perfect. Lol. Thinking the blaster will keep bugs away this summer, going to temporary move the camera today to a gable and out from the overhang. Will mount it as far forward as possible so no reflection I hope.Any good suggestion on a ir blaster? something small and look like a camera.
Re: IP Camera Web Access
I don't have a lot of experience with different makes/types. I just liked the first I bought and got a couple more all of which I have been very pleased with - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MXBKT7X - not sure if they are available everywhere but they work well for me.

Re: IP Camera Web Access
A side note:
Common definition of "IR Blaster" from wikipedia.
"An infrared blaster (or IR blaster) is a device that emulates an infrared remote control to autonomously control a device that is normally controlled only by controlled key presses. The most common use of an IR blaster is to allow a recording device such, as a DVR or VCR, to change the channel on an external tuner, such as a cable box or satellite receiver. This way, the receiving device can automatically select the correct channel to record before starting the recording process. Two other common uses are to extend infrared signals in order to place remote controlled products behind closed doors and to allow mobile devices to control infrared devices."
An "IR Illuminator" is the name commonly used today for a external device that provides IR light for a camera.
To find one ,try entering "IR Blaster" in Amazon. Then try "IR Illuminator".

Re: IP Camera Web Access
Thanks for all the input, got the camera moved to the gable. I see no where it will get reflection from the ir,tonight will tell the story. If all is well then to the attic tomorrow to wire it the right way. Sure the wife is not going to like my temporary wiring. LOL
Re: IP Camera Web Access
If price is no object then to be Honest I would go with iLuminar. While they can be spendy they do have a long history of Quality products...
However 10 years ago when I bought mine for the Cost of the ones I own I didn't have an issue until found out something went wrong.. First one was 8 years old and even though they have a 5 year Warranty when I contacted the company I got a Replacement for the cost of shipping and strange thing is when I got the new one I only put the old one in the box and put a label on it for return to them so that was cool only having to pay ship for new one...
Things to note... Know the type of Camera you have... While ones with IRC is the best for quality of night time B/W that isn't always the case... I have some high end Very Low light cameras that have a FILTER in place and the camera switches from B/W to Color. While as some say and I tend to agree the colors don't look as clean as they could if they had an IRC. That is because the IRC has a small film with 2 colors that changes as needed for the day or night where the other has glass or plastic in place with both colors together.
Then you have to ask your self do you want the Covert IR blaster or the Semi Covert (or normal) LED... The Covert ones have 940nm leds where the Semi covert ones have 850nm led.
Also with some and iLuminar is one of them you can control via remote different things like when to turn them on and off by changing the control of the LDR and how bright the IR blaster is. If your in an area that needs a Blaster but don't want to have so much IR wash, bleed or Reflections this can be controlled by remote...
Also the #1 thing for the people out there that are worried about your cameras being controlled by the built in IR of a camera with a Blaster there is no connection to a computer or network so you don't have to worry about 2 cameras talking to each other over the built in IR of a camera as it was said by another poster the main use of IR was for Remote control and as such it was found that you could use another IR camera with code to talk to other Ir cameras and as such might have data issues if someone was crafty enough lol
Amcrest Camera with IRC *IR Cut Removeable Filter* you can see the motor on the lens Lens Removed you can see back side of Filter in Day mode Camera of 27x zoom Sony With lens removed you can see the Filter that isn't removable Here is the same Camera 27x with color of no removable filter in place different color
