2 of my 3 IOS devices automatically updated the Amcrest app to Version 4 today. The 2 IOS devices that received the app update no longer connect to any of my cameras.
I’m watching another forum thread where email alerts mysteriously stopped working. First, email alerts stopped working and now I can only access my cameras from 1 IOS device.
What is going on at Amcrest? My entire security system is now pretty much useless. ?

Re: IOS Version 4 APP Update FAIL
I have been troubleshooting the loss of connectivity to my cameras since the Amcrest app update and found a solution. Basically, the app update changed from using the “HTTP Port” setting to “TCP Port”.
I was previously using “8080” in the Amcrest app for several years with the camera below. Once I changed the number to “8180” in the app’s Device Manager setting, connectivity restored. I cringe every time this company performs updates...

grabczb,
Thank you for updating us with this new thread. We do recommend using TCP port instead though for IP Domain setup.
