Incorrect Snapshot for Camera (Channel) for an alarm alert (email)
Incorrect Snapshot for Camera (Channel) for an alarm alert (email)
I have a 5 camera Amcrest system and for several single camera email alerts I want to take snapshots from more than one IPC. I have set the system up this way and have never received more than one snapshot. The most troubling part is that the snapshot for an alert frequently is from the incorrect IPC. In reading other people's submissions in this forum, I realize multiple people are struggling to get multiple snapshots working. Should I drop back to a single snapshot until this is resolved or do you have another suggestion?

Hello TonyHagan ,
If you have set up the alerts through an NVR it will only send one snapshot per email. If you use the IPC to set up the alerts, you can actually receive multiple emails but the interval under emails settings should be set to zero for this to work.

Tony, did you ever find a solution?
I have an NVR with four cameras. I get motion detection from different channels but each email contains only snapshot from channel 1.

I have a NV4108E-HS with four IP4M-1026EW cameras. Everything is great, except the fact that I only get email notifications with snapshots from camera 1, even through the motion is detected on cameras 2, 3 or 4. The email even indicates that motion was detected on the other cameras, but I only get the snapshot from camera 1.

Under setting>Storage>Snapshots you have to set the schedule for 24 hours on channels 2,3 and 4 also. Otherwise you'll only get snapshots from channel 1.

Re: Incorrect Snapshot for Camera (Channel) for an alarm alert (email)
I am having the same issue. Regardless of the channel the motion detection is on, I get a snapshot of channel (camera) 1. I checked my setting>storage>snapshots and have all channels (1-4) set to 24 hours. On the setting>Event>Detect>Motion Detect, does the Record Channel and Snapshot Channel need to match the Camera channel? None of the setup videos or manuals show them matching, but I would think they do. I tried this and it didn't help, though. Thanks for any feedback to help with this.

Yes, I resolved this issue but with a lot of pain and effort. I do not remember how I resolved it.
Sorry,
