Image too pixelated on IP2M-842B

Post by dsmith44 »

I have a wireless IP2M-842B with the latest firmware and I cannot get the image to stop being pixelated. I've tried every combination of H.264 and MJPEG streams and all kinds of combinations of Frame Rates and Bit Rates and resolutions, and it's still plain awful image quality. I'm just about to give up on this camera unless someone reading this can tell me what I need to set it to. It starts off looking fantastic, sharp, and clear when you load the page, then over about 2 or 3 seconds, it quickly starts to pixelate and that's where it stays, no matter what my settings are.

Here is how I'm using it. I have a weather website and have the streaming connection set to:

http://username:password@mywebsite.com: ... i?camera=1

I'm calling it on my web page with the <IMG> and </IMG> tags like this:

<img width="640" height="480" src="http://username:password@mywebsite.com: ... a=1"></img>

I only need it set to 640 x 480 because it's for use on my web page and not used for surveillance.

Please help, I'm about to give up on this camera. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Dan

I might also add that on the overlay date and time, if I set it to the default settings and any number of combinations of settings varying by just a little bit, I can tell that the "live" image is pausing because the seconds are stopped. Then it'll burst and the seconds will go by really quickly, almost as if the images are buffering, then stop again.
