IE 11 and Amcrest

I have a IP2M-841W camera. I used to access it in Firefox 51, after upgrading to Firefox 52 the plugin no longer works. I tried to use IE 11 and the video covered up the controls. The only way I could get it to work properly was go go into internet settings and uncheck "Enable Protected Mode". After doing that everything works fine. I don't really feel good about having to turn off protected mode. Is this normal to have to do this in IE 11?
