ive been having nothing but problems with my cameras...ive called numerous times and the tech logged into my computer and assured me that the problems were fixed but it was a lie. i have 2 3mp wireless cameras set up for motion. 1)the cameras always constantly and randomly go offline to view them on amcrest surveillance pro...but can still be seen through the cloud...2)the cameras and always recording leaves...bugs..the sun..and even shadows.
i think its just about time to return them and try another brand.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Leaves and trees could be excluded from the detection area by selecting that area and lowering the sensitivity and increasing threshold for that area. This combined with proper combination of the sensitivity and threshold for detection areas can reduce the false alarms to a good extend.
