HTTP Live Feed Username & Password

Hello,

I have one Amcrest outdoor IP camera and five cheaper, lower quality Foscam outdoor IP cameras around my home. My intention has been to replace the Foscam cameras with Amcrest since the UI for Foscam is old, slow, times out a lot, etc. and the Amcrest camera records better quality videos, not that the Foscam videos are terrible, and the Amcrest camera is a lot smaller.

However, I have a need to get a live feed into an Android app as well as HTML (I am a developer--a lot of times just for fun) and I seem to have hit a block with the Amcrest camera. I know I can do RTSP (not supported by an Android app without an 3rd party solution, which is also pretty excessive and not supported in HTML) and use something like VLC to convert the stream which gave me some issues with the Android app and made me wonder why am I even bothering with the RTSP stream...there is an HTTP stream.

But...the HTTP stream uses this sort of interface; http://username:password@ipaddress etc. etc. which, from errors I get and research has not been allowed since 2017 in Chrome and similar browsers (https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/56 ... 56#details). I have dug around the forums here a while and have found "similar" questions asked but no answers.

I have already purchased the cheaper Foscam (same model as all my others) to replace the Amcrest but I have to ask.....is there really no way to get an HTTP stream for the Amcrest camera and, if that is the case, are people really okay with that? I get my need isn't for the "standard" user but the cheap, not as good Foscams can do it easily and yet this more expensive, better quality camera cannot? Even the SDK mentions the URL to use for HTTP but you cannot use it because of the link I posted above....
