How to view on a desktop
The config program ask for a IP address. The camera is not near me. How do I determine what the IP address is on the phone app
Re: How to view on a desktop
Hello dsalman1,
If the camera is in a remote location and you added the camera on the phone with the QR code, you will not be able to fo find the ip address. But you can find the serial number of the device from the app. Go to the menu on the app and then go to device manager. Click on the device manager and click on the camera name. You can find the serial number from the 'edit' option.
You can go to the portal www.amcrestview.com and add your camera with the serial number and username-password to live view it. You can alternatively try the Amcrest Surveillance Pro software where you can add the device manually with its serial number. Link for the software is below.

So what is the IP Config software for?
Re: How to view on a desktop
Hello fidellaty ,
Its basically for obtaining the IP address of the device and making changes to the IP etc if required when you are at the local network of the camera. If you click on the 'e' icon on the right side it opens up on a browser which is the web interface of the camera.
