I have IP2M-852E POE cameras, connected to the NV4116E-HS NVR.
Setting things up and getting them to work was mostly painless. My NVR is getting an IP from my router, and it is visible on my LAN, but I guess the individual cameras are served their own IPs on a subnet hosted by the NVR itself. This apparently means that I can access the web interface to manage my NVR, but I can't find any way to get to the web interfaces of the individual cameras. I would like to change the passwords on the cameras and also upgrade the firmware for the cameras, but I can't figure out any way to do that.
Do I need to unplug the cameras from the NVR and plug them directly into my router (or a switch on my LAN) in order to be able to manage them? If so, where are they supposed to get their power from when I do that, since these are POE cameras? It seems to me there must be a way to manage the individual cameras through the NVR...at least I hope there is! But for the life of me I haven't been able to figure out how.
Thanks in advance for any tips!
How to manage a camera connected to an NVR

You could try this post.

In the Windows 10 search box, put internet explorer and search if you don't know where it is.
Or you could move your camera cables to a POE switch and connect it to your router, similar to what you described. Then you need to add them to your NVR.

Thanks for the link to that thread...that is informative. I will try using Internet Explorer to access the cameras, and if that fails it looks like I need to get a POE switch to do the configuration and then move the cameras back to the NVR.
