How do I view video files created on the NAS?

I have an IP2M-841B ProHD camera configured to output default H.264H 1080p 30 CBR video files.

The following video files are being created on my NAS via FTP:

Z:\Amcrest\AMC00065_9C90FB\2016-09-11\001\dav\11\11.00.01-11.00.01[M][0@0][0].mp4_
Z:\Amcrest\AMC00065_9C90FB\2016-09-11\001\dav\11\11.00.03-11.00.03[M][0@0][0].mp4_
Z:\Amcrest\AMC00065_9C90FB\2016-09-11\001\dav\11\11.00.05-11.00.05[M][0@0][0].mp4_
...

They are not DAV files and not valid mp4 files.

I tried copying them to my local machine and viewing them with Smart Play 3.34.8 but Smart Play fails to open the files. There is no error dialog they just don't show up in the file list.

Note that if I manually record video to my local machine I get readable mp4 files.

Note that the JPG snapshots written to the NAS are readable.

Please tell me how can I view these small (i.e. 1KB) mp4_ files that are writen to the NAS.

Note that I installed the latest firmware for the IP2M-841B.

the .mp4_ extension is the temporary file name given as the video is written to disk. When the transfer is complete, the file is renamed to .mp4 . Make sure the camera has permission to modify files on the NAS as it appears to allow creation of the files but not modification.
