Hello,
I have an Amcrest 4K NV4116-HS DVR with several WIFI cameras. I’ve noticed that if the Ethernet cable is unplugged from the DVR, even if WIFI is still working, the cameras are no longer visible by the DVR. In my opinion, since WIFI is still up, the DVR should be able to see the WIFI cameras, which are in the same LAN. I don’t want the DVR to stop recording if the Internet is down. Is there a setting that I should correct?
Thanks and regards,
Have DVR record from WIFE cameras without Internet

Hello Rbendana ,
The NVR should always be connected to router with an Ethernet cable. Then only the NVR can establish connection to the cameras through the network.

Hi Melvin,
Thank you for your response.
The NVR is connected to the wifi router by an ethernet cable, but without internet access it can't find the caneras connected by Wi-Fi to the same router.
The router I have is a LUMA

Hello Rbendana ,
Not sure why but this set up should work with the NVR.
