FW upgrade 841b now lost my webview app to see playback 24 hr range.

I knew i should not have "upgraded" the firmware.

Now on my webview app...when i look at playback....i cannot view the horizontal day range (24 hrs) at all. It's disappeared.

I can see file list but it's only populated with about 15 files at a time and takes multiple pages to scroll thru..

WHY DID AMCREST remove this useful feature to scan thru a days worth of captures???

Also the webview app wont work on internet explorer....

Can I downgrade my firmware?

Hello and Welcome to the Forum

Sorry to hear about your issues sadly first of all to answer one of your question first... DON'T Downgrade from JS to non JS firmware some have bricked the camera doing so.. Also it is reported that if you were able to do a Downgrade it would/could cause damage to the cameras ability to work right.. The 2 Codes are different and Downgrading will cause harm...

So sadly I had some that were in old FW and for the longest time I was keeping only 2 on new and the rest on old.. IN my Testing of this I found that the Older one released in 2015 was more stable then the one that had new FW from 2018... Then for some reason maybe the Home Lock down I don't know but got an Itch and installed new FW on the Rest of my 841's lol... While I do have mine are NVR and I don't even use web UI much anymore. They do have MSD seeing that was how I had been recording and FTP as well now Only use FTP from 1 of them and the rest I just look off the NVR to see footage... Sadly there is a bunch of people that didn't like the way things went from Scroll list to dated list and issues with PTZ...

Not sure when your Camera was released but if it has a 9c starting Mac number then it is newer... No matter the Number if you have not Reset the camera after the Update it is advised to do so. You do this by pressing the button on the back of Camera until light starts to blink... Sadly doing so will make it so you have to Set it all up again. Everything will be put back to Factory and sadly no it will not change the FW back... Also if your camera is a newer camera if you set up presets pass setting Preset 3 you can but if you have issues after a weekly restart then I would delete Preset 3 and that should clear up that issue... It has on my cameras anyway...

Sadly it is hard to say how old the Camera is without looking at the Mac Address or the Box if you still have the Box.. There is a White Sticker on the Blue part of the box that says when it was Released. (Not the Copyright) on the back all of mine (C)2015 and I have mine from 2015, 16, 17 and the last one bought in 2019 is from 2018. At times some companies I am not saying Amcrest but some companies will buy 100k units and while the first 50 or 60k moves really well the others can sit for little while..

About a App to use there are loads of Apps that one could use. Just keep in mind that any app outside of Amcrest would be more likely to find your camera Password on the Darkweb.. So make sure that you use a Password that is only for your camera and that it is a Camera that you would not care if the world sees... I personally Removed my Cameras from Cloud service and off the Amcrest View Website and then changed my Passwords just incase there was a Breach I don't have to worry about someone taking a couple of my cameras on a spin....
