FTP no longer working after upgrades

On 3/24, I upgraded to IP2M-841_IPM-721_V2.420.AC00.16.R.20160909. Then on 4/1, I upgraded to IP2M-841_IPM-721_V2.420.AC00.17.R.20170322.

FTP to my Ubuntu server is no longer working. I don't know if it was working during the brief time I was at version 16 or not.

Before doing anything, I exported all my settings, and I've imported them all back in. My FTP account and password information was re-imported, but I went ahead and retyped them anyway.

Testing the FTP setup says, "Operation failed" and that's it. No record of any login attempt shows up on my server at all. Nothing shows up in the camera logs.

I did a reset where I hold the button for 20 seconds, I then re-imported everything. FTP still doesn't work.

Help, please! I've ran out of ideas.

Just taking a stab here, but exporting/importing settings may not work properly between revision changes. It would be nice if they did. Can Amcrest let us know if this can work between the last 2 revisions?

I've clicked around and everything looks normal. Heck, probably by now I'm redone everything at least once. I had to change the IP address to static because it had DHCPed the wrong one. All connectivity is there as far as I can tell, just not FTP. Even running tcpdump on my server shows nothing to port 21 on from my cameras.

My network is all wired and flat. Everything is on 192.168.0.0 just as it's always been. My cameras are set to record everything continuously and FTP the videos to my server. Until recently, I got a 60-minute video every hour of every day on my server. Now, I get nothing.

I dunno. Maybe I need to reset them again and this time not import my old settings. At this point I'll try anything as the cameras are currently useless to me.

Okay, now I feel stupid.

Storage->Destination->FTP has an "enable" checkbox that the settings import didn't get. I checked the box, hit save, and now it's working as advertised.
