Hello,
I've setup FTP on a IP8M camera and it works - I get the error when I try "TEST" on the FTP page that has been mentioned on the forum but the files are being uploaded fine. The camera uses a rather complex directory structure, here's an example:
dir/AMC0513F7002E85xxx/2019-10-08/001/jpg/08/11/24[R][0@0][0].jpg
Is there a way to tell images that are created on the specified interval vs those created when motion is detected? The "R" is sometimes an "M" but this does not consistently correlate to the type of image from what I can tell.
Every other camera I use encodes the date and time as part of the filename. Amcrest creates a new directory for each minute there is a snapshot. The use of brackets and at signs doesn't make things any easier. I am uploading to Linux and have scripts to access the images but I'm going to need to do some scripting to deal with this.
Other cameras also have a way to ftp the current image to a filename that does not change. This allows an easy way to access the current image. I've not found an option for this on the Amcrest either.
All that said, the camera image itself is great. Camera technology has come a long way in the last several years.

FTP File Structure and other questions
Re: FTP File Structure and other questions
I have written a gosh-ugly perl script to collect all the jpg files from the depth of the hierarchy and place them in a single directory with timed filenames. Gets rid of the brackets and @ signs too. Someday I will learn what they mean but this is works for my purposes.
