I keep my camera in Manual Exposure. (I find that that event recording is much more predictable in this mode, because the video stream seems more stable (less noise); and when running in AUTO I get alot more recording that are undesired) But there is a drawback. Sometimes I have the exposure set too high or low for a particular day. If I'm at home I can simply jump on my computer and tweak the setting... but if I'm away...
My question is... Is there a way to change the shutter speed on my camera using the phone app, or other method. IF so how ? .... if not is it an option that could be added to the phone app in the future ??

Currently that is not an option in the phone app. The only way you can adjust the settings for the camera is by logging into the camera interface from a laptop. For this, you will have to set up port forwarding. Check the below video and in case you need more help with that please give us a call.
