What is event/video detection/ptz selection suppose to do?
The user manual states:
"PTZ: This checkbox allows the user to enable the camera to activate a PTZ tour when a motion detection alarm
is triggered."
Which tour ? Anything else to be aware of like will the touring execution affect the snap shot or recording performance, etc ?

If your camera has PTZ or even PT or even Zoom that is the area that you use to access and make that feature work with your camera that is setup... PTZ=Pan Tilt and Zoom. This might be in form of a IP2M-841 or IP4M-1053W to list a couple. Also could be IP4M-1056EW (Motorized Varifocal) no Pan Tilt.
The Tour part if you have setup some Presets you can then turn them into a tour. This would or could make your camera move to different areas that you have setup and pan or tilt at a speed you setup and could do this all day or for a set time you have setup.... The Feature is there for the people that have the camera with the ability. If your camera don't have the ability then ignore it. More can be found in your Manual. If you have mis placed it you can do a search for your camera on Amcrest website and DL a copy from there. Also might have more info on youtube from Amcrest about it. Amcrest does offer some detailed videos. While at times they might be for a model with same features different # it will give you a good idea about it.
