Howdy,
Decided to set up motion detection for a set of my cameras via the NVR. It works perfectly on some but others not so good. Interestingly the devices do detect the motion and pushes the email but no image attachments. Very strange. Any insights appreciated.
Thanks

I am going to guess that your working with new FW NVR? as I am not sure if it was issue with older FW and I guess I could test that out seeing I have some old FW NVRs as well..
However either way to be safe I found on my NEW FW NVR that not only does the nvr need to be setup for the Photo push however the camera it self also has be have Image setup.. I found this to be odd because when I setup some of my cameras I had them before my NVR's however when I connected them to my New FW NVR when I setup some of the cameras for Push I was not getting any images and others I was.. When I went to look I found that the camera needed to be setup to take snapshots or it wouldn't send any images.
So this becomes a major pain when your working in a POE NVR because most times you will need to pull the Camera off the NVR and put on a POE Switch or INjector to get the info updated in the camera..
Also found this odd because when I was setting up cameras I wouldn't make the changes about Snapshots and things if I didn't have a MSD in them that was how I found the ones that were not giving images were ones with out the cards and that is because for most part of my Install I have Main recording going to Camera mSD if important and not just extra view because most of my camera coverage is from multi view points of same scene to make sure that my Detect, view and ID bases are all covered if the need arises.. So some of my thoughts might be something that was needed from past FW however I have not tested that and only the cameras that have had mSD installed have ever been setup on my NVR for Push..
Anyway I would double check with the camera and make sure it is setup to have snap shots taken within the Cameras WebUI.. Then try again for push to your phone for images.. For me I love it and it is fast and even on a car that is going by at 25 or 30 I get a notice before it is out of my Cameras FOV and much faster then sending an email that is mush to my CELL on P2P connected image also works much faster then waiting for a notice of an email..
Remember even though it is the NVR that is sending the push to your Cell or Email the camera has to have snapshots enabled as well..
