DVR will not "show up" in IP Config BUT everything works fine!

Hello. I am new to this forum and to Amcrest. I love the Amcrest technology so far! Forgive me if this issue has previously been addressed in this forum. I searched. I also spent about 6 hours trying to solve this myself from online tips including this forums advice as well as calling India. I even added some port forwarding rules in my router's configuration for Port 80, 3777, 37778, 554. I have a new 8 camera 1080P Tribrid system with the 2 TB DVR, model AMDV10808-S3.

My specific issue is this: On the PCnP step of the initial DVR setup process my DVR will NOT "show up" or "be found" under the devices column in the IP Config App. I have 1 wireless camera that was found no problem on the same network. I tried for hours to correct this only to move forward and find that "everything" seems to be working correctly!!, besides the fact that the DVR will not show up in the IP Config program. I am able to view the cameras from the DVR and from my iPhone at home and away from home. DVR output via HDMI to TV is fine as well.

Any ideas on why the DVR will not show up?

I did get my DVR to show in IP CONFIG by entering my home internet routers address into the search box. IP CONFIG then recognized my DVR (showing it as an "HCVR") with its correct address. The last remaining issue that I have is that the UPnP Status in the Amcrest DVR Web Access Program - Menu - Network - UPnP Status is "Searching". It never says "Success". I have watched the YouTube videos and even manually port forwarded my router with 37776. I AM connected to an Apple Airport Router that is hard wired (Cat5e) to my AT&T router and I saw some other folks with the same UPnP "searching" status issue on the forum with no solution including speaking with Amcrest's tech support several times.
