Disk full overwrite didn't occur

Recordings are scheduled full time to one of my ftp server and all is recording okay. With IP2M-842E setup using storage > record control > disk full > overwrite it did not work when the disk was full. When the disk was full it kept trying to record, wrote the logs with 0 data and then after a few hours stopped and never did overwrite. Documentation doesn't say yes or no if it's an option with a ftp server, does anyone have this setup working to a ftp server or does it just work with an SD card or PC. Thank you.

The overwrite option is only available for SD card recording.

Then why does the software gives you the option to select the drive, folder, etc. and the amount of storage to be allocated, overwrite on a desktop PC?

Does overwrite work using nas storage? Are you going to support ftp overwrite in the future?

I read somewhere that the cameras must have the correct time for the overwrite feature to work. Ever since I updated to the latest firmware release the overwrite feature has ceased to work.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. What did Amcrest change in the latest firmware to cause the Overwrite of the SD card to stop working??? I've hard reset me cameras, confirmed time settings, and the overwrite feature is no longer working.

I am having the same issue with the 941. The 841 never had an issue with overwrite.

I am having to check the SD card daily and when full format manually.

841 would go back to beginning automatically and start overwriting and I could still access the last few days on the card

941 sucks
