I have tried to set up my Auto Maintain settings to delete old files after a specific number of days. However even tho I can only go back and check a specific number of days, the DVR is continuing to have reduced capacity and eventually goes to zero free space. While I have it set to record over old data (and thus continue to have current recordings), the free space remains zero.
Interestingly when I increase the number of days to keep the old files, I can see older recordings. How can you use delete old files after a specific number of days so that it actually removes the data, and allows the DVR to have free space above zero. I only want to delete the old files (ie, after 21 days).
Disk Free Space is always 0.00
Re: Disk Free Space is always 0.00
Is anyone else having this issue? Cannot get it resolved....

I found that Amcrest recognized my empty drive after I reformatted it. I was using a USB which was originally in FAT32, and when I reformatted it to FAT, Amcrest finally recognized that the drive was blank. On my Mac, I used Disk Utility to reformat it, and I'm sure there's a comparable program for PC.
