I have 4 cameras - two outdoor (IP3M-943) and two indoor (IP3M-941) and (IP2M-841).
I have the "Abnormality" of No Disk turned on and I reboot daily. EVERY Time I reboot on the 941 it sends me a "No Disk" error via email - which is how I have it set, but the problem is, there IS a disk in it and it writes to it. So, why is it sending the error email?
Second, on the 841, I have had to turn off the "Abnormality" of No Disk because for some reason it puts it into an Alarm state and records continuously - which in and of itself is contradictory because if there truly was no disk then it wouldn't be able to record.
And third, I have had these for just over a month, they worked well, until the disks got full. I have overwrite turned on, but they didn't overwrite and just stopped recording. I have now gone in and formatted the disks, and they once again are recording. What's the purpose of overwrite if it doesn't actually work?
Disk Errors
Re: Disk Errors
Hello mnjclark ,
It looks like a bug on the firmware as you keep getting those alerts after reboot. It appears after reboot the camera looks for the disk and does not detect it for a moment and send out the alert.
For the overwrite issue, under set up > Storage > Record Control ensure the Disk full is set to overwrite and the Record mode is set to 'Auto'.
Also Under system > Auto maintain you can specify the number of days for the auto deleting files.
