Hi,
The firmware on my IP2M-841 is corrupt and I need to reinstall it. The only problem is that I can't connect to the camera using the IP config tool so that I can do a firmware upgrade. I have tried doing a factory reset but the light to the rear of the unit stays solid red. Is there any other way of flashing the firmware without using the IP config tool?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Corrupt Firmware
Hello neddyda,
Can you connect the camera directly to router using Ethernet cable and see if the light status changes? If it keeps staying on red there might be an issue with the camera and it might need to be replaced. Please contact us us by phone or email so that we assist you further.

Re: Corrupt Firmware
Hi Melvin,
Yes I have connected it to the router using an Ethernet cable but the light remains solid red and my network does not detect the device being connected. I have already emailed the support team but they are unwilling to help me because I do not have the original invoice. They said they required the invoice to prove the device was still in warranty. I advised them that according to the Amcrest website the camera comes with a 2 year warranty and that this model has not been on the market for 2 years so it would be impossible for it to be out of warranty.
There has been no offer of support whatsoever.
Not impressed.

Hello neddyda,
Sorry to hear that. As part of our policy you need to produce a proof of purchase for warranty replacements.
