Constantly locked out or camera unable to connect

Post by ltn123 »

Hi,

I have the Amcrest HD Pro. Its a great camera however after several days of not logging into the app the camera either doesn't connect or it locks me out.

What is the point of having a surveillance camera if when you are away it locks you out or you can't connect. The only way I find to get back on is to unplug it. Again, if I am away from home its a useless camera since I am locked out.

How do I prevent this from happening? I use the Amcrest iPhone app not the web view.

Hello ltn123,
Not sure what is causing this. So power recycling the camera fixes this issue? Can you check if the camera is on the latest firmware? If not, I would suggest updating it. Please contact out Technical support team if the issue persists.

I am having this issue as well. HD-Pro just locks up or tells me it can't connect. Power cycle of the camera restores the connection and I am at the latest firmware.

I am having the same issue... it happened just after I updated the firmware on the 1080p amcrest. I was able to connect that morning with the google chrome app, iphone app, along with the amcrest IP config software. Once I installed the new firmware and unplugged and restarted my 1080p ip camera to reboot after firmware installation, I was no longer to connect to it with none of the software I listed before. Is there a way to roll back the firmware patch or another way of connecting to the camera to fix this issue?
