Connecting IP3M-943 to router via ethernet

Connecting IP3M-943 to router via ethernet

I have a IP3M-943 mounted in the ceiling of my garage. It is powered by an AC plug adjacent to the Cam. I have given up on wireless operation and will be connecting the Cam to a router via Cat6 Ethernet cable. I realize this is a PoE capable camera but can I leave the camera plugged into the AC power supply and connect the Ethernet without damaging the camera?

Yes. Just don't use the POE injector.
