We have 3 sites with only a couple of cameras at each site.
We'd like to store more days of video so were thinking of purchasing an NVR.
Can we just purchase 1 nvr, give it a 4-6tb HDD and have all sites post to it?
The upload speed at each sight it around 10mbs.
(is there a way the cameras can 'archive' files every night).
Would a NAS be a better option?
(we're quite happy with using the amcrest surveillance pro software so we don't technically need the DVR, we just need more storage).
Can you use a NVR over a WAN for storage
Re: Can you use a NVR over a WAN for storage
Since Surveillance Pro with WAN cameras works well for you, you could try Surveillance Pro PC-NVR. You could test it easily by setting up PC-NVR and allocating some test disk space. Your PC does need to be on when recording.

I"m not sure if you can add WAN cameras to a NVR, but here's the manual.
