Cameras won't send notifications
Cameras won't send notifications
I have two cameras. One from 2014 and one from 2019. Two weeks ago both have stopped sending motion notifications. Both can be viewed live. I have tried to use both my hotmail and gmail accounts. Nothing seems to work. Short of resetting up do you have any ideas?

Sadly it is hard to say.. I know then 2019 FW was working with Gmail and had one on there for the longest time and mine has also stopped working.. Crazy thing is I have since put on new FW on most of my cameras, Reset the camera back to factory, setup to get email and still nothing... I have my own server so While I have just updated FW I thought maybe I don't remember my Password on my own Server so I made a New Email account and changed the password to the old one but still I can't send emails in my own Server or Gmail.. I am guessing that with my last update on my Server package 3 weeks ago must have made changes to my SMTP server as well.. I even tried using non Secure method and no good...
So this leaves me to the last idea... If your not using Amcrest Pro App I would download that, then setup your cameras to the app. Then i would setup Push Notices to your phone and you will get them all No need for Email and worrying if you go over your monthly lot of emails...
Also you can turn them on and off easy if you don't want to get Push because your doing something in front of the camera like Mowing the lawn or moving things back and forth in front of your camera right on your phone... Or maybe you have your camera facing a large tree and it is windy you get alerts while shopping you can turn them off from your phone...
