Camera Setting

Post by zplugger »

Trying to use web view to access my four cameras, having no luck. I have two IP8M-T2499E and two IP5M-T1179E. One of the IP8m will open in Internet Explorer and I can change any setting. The other IP8M says not supported.Do they just need a firm ware update to work? Did not see any firmware updates for the IP5M-T1179E. Any advice on how to do this would be appricated.

I am using a MacBook with safari that has a few issues with the WebUI so I use Chrome or Firefox. They both work on a mac so I would try another browser.

It might be that IE isn't supported for the camera in hand and as such must have a 2019 or 2020 FW installed.. So I would try to load the camera on Chrome and if you don't have Chrome and don't want it then Try MS Edge as it is what MS is using to Replace IE...

Out side of that if that didn't help maybe take a Snap shot and upload to here might help with understanding better

Software Version

IP8M- 2.622.00AC000.0.R, Build Date: 2019-04-15

IP8M- V2.622.00AC000.0.R, Build Date: 2019-10-24

IP5M- V2.800.00AC000.0.R, Build Date: 2019-11-13

IP5M- V2.800.00AC000.0.R, Build Date: 2019-11-13

Looks like they all have 2019 installed, the 4/15/2019 camera works with Internet Explorer, same camera with 10/24/2019 does not?

Neither IP5M camera work, tried chrome with no luck.

It looks like you have last years models. I originally purchased a IP8M-2469 and returned it for the same reason as you mentioned, poor night vision but the WebUI did work on my mac.

So it looks like your first camera was built new in early 2019 and has a IE non JS FW installed. Your second one with 10-2019 FW would be Chrome JS FW and would also work with Edge and some say Firefox no longer would work with IE. Then the 2 IP5m they also look like from date would be JS FW and would work with Chrome and Edge..
Be Safe.

my favorite camera is the IP5M IP5M-B1186EW-28MM and at $49 is a great price. I bought the IP8M-2696EW-AI for face detection but have not had much luck getting that to work consistently. As I mentioned before, this camera had the same issue with low light as yours until I found the BLC custom feature which gave me a similar low light quality as the IP5M but at a much higher price.

No luck getting this to open in Amcrest Web View, I can log into the NVR and it shows all the cameras. In the Web View program the only browser its shows is internet explorer. When I into the NVR IP in chrome it wants a plugin? I tell it to install but don't see anything happening. I have got better night time views by changing the F setting to 1/3

Have you tried MS Edge browser as James suggested? It sounds like that is the latest browser for windows systems.
