Buzzing

Post by lford6343* »

I am using a gear head computer speaker to amplify my cameras and have been for months. Recently I have a buzz much like a grounding buzz coming out of the speakers. This only happens when the mic button is use, when clicked off the buzz starts. Anyone know of a filter I could use to stop this. Apparently Amcrest doesn't know what is suddenly causing this.

Filtering only masks the real problem. If it only just started happening after working well, ask yourself what changed? Another device or appliance on the same electrical circuit introducing noise? Or cables moved, such that they introduce inductive noise by laying alongside one another or being wrapped around each other? Different power bar? Different outlet?

Actually the original wire I used was gold plated and the go cut so I soldered it back togeather. Buzz. Bought new nickle plated wire. Buzz Bought a new gear head. Buzz. Bought a different speaker system. Buzz. Installed filters. Buzz. Got a long extension cord and changed circuits. Buzz.
And your right the only thing I did different was the wire so I got a Gold tipped wire and NO MORE BUZZ.
Amcrest cameras must use gold tipped wire.
