Been looking for a ANPR camera? Amcrest new Release

Post by Revo2Maxx »

So you have heard of an ANPR or LPR or LPD and you have wanted one however Amcrest didn't carry any! Well now Amcrest has a new ANPR if you are in need. I don't own this one yet myself but I have been looking to replace the older ones I own.

https://amcrest.com/4k-poe-camera-turre ... 3ai-2.html

For one of mine it is a 8-22mm lens with auto focus. Amcrest has better lens of 10mm to 50mm. So I don't know if it is color or B/W and or how it is setup for the Amcrest camera. I know that mine are White light at night and was setup out of the box to work for the sole function of capturing plates. Meaning everything is kind of dark at night and looking at the outside wouldn't really yield anything other then Plates. That is why I had it used with a Full color at night 4mp AI camera that didn't come with any White LED's it used my LRP LEDS.

I have had other ones that were B/W at night again very dark and not really able to see anything because it was designed to ignore the head or tail lights and even the rear LP lights that can make looking at plates with a normal camera very hard.

I do have a TVI 5-50mm camera if anyone wants to see what a 50mm would look like at full zoom in. Even older LRP were very costly because of the special hardware it takes to make them. The Amcrest while to some might seem costly it really is worth the cost if you need to capture plates.

Car parks, Gated Community, parking Garages, Private Drives and many other ways to capture LP. Now this for the cost is much better then my older ones that when new cost the same and or older one yet was even most costly. Anyway the Amcrest one also says it will pick up the People in the front seat. So that means this camera has to be very advanced with many many different frames that it takes it data from before it stores the data required.

If you already have a Amcrest ANPR. I would love to see some pictures of the Captures it has and the WebUI interface. If and when I get one if no one has offered this I will be more then happy to also provide what I find..
Be Safe.

So I thought I would post a couple of Pictures that are of my 10x TVI. It is only 2mp however gives an idea of what 50mm zoom lens would look like. SO for this camera as I said it is 2mp. First picture is at 5mm. I don't know where 10mm that Amcrest ANPR camera is setup for. So this is best I have at this time. I do have other cameras in 4mp that are zoom just nothing at 50mm outside of my 2mp.. I would have connected my LPR there that is 8mm to 22mm however I have a Dove that is taken up the space behind my camera to raise her young so I don't want to disturb them as she just laid her eggs.

First picture is at 5mm zoomed as far out as this camera can. Second picture is zoomed all the way in and you can see the road very well.
