For some reason my other thread was closed or locked. It was beginning to be a conversation that could of benefitted a lot of people.
First of we need to clear something up. I bought 10 4m bullet cameras and all of them had the Amcrest Surviellence Pro Software included. It is a toned down version I think I Blue Iris but to tell you the truth it works pretty good. I want to ask Amcrest, what do you consider a more premium product. Blue Iris which by itself you need to pay for or the Survellence Pro which is included with the camera's.
Is the Playback viewer better/faster then the Survelllence pro, or they are about the same. Previously I was all Vivotek, but when I tested about a 1920/PTZ it was a beautiful picture. I need to get some more bullet camera's so I'll be keeping my eye out for a sale.....and hopefully something for near my door.
Amcrest, one more thing. When I play video files I'm use to MKV, MP4, MPG, is there a way to change the DAV format but still keep using the player? Using players like VLC are very hard to search through and find things, that's why I want to keep using your players. I don't care about space. I have 44TB of space on a NAS, so space isn't an issue.
THANK YOU!
