I just bought the 4MP Full Color Dual Antenna Model ASH47-W camera. This is the one that follows when it "sees" a human. I would like that it goes back to the "starting" point when the human walks out of view.
Is that a possibility with this camera?
ASH47-W starting point
Re: ASH47-W starting point
Hello and welcome to the forum. Well normally if it has follow like ash21 or v3841 when follow is over it goes back. Ash47 has follow?

Re: ASH47-W starting point

Re: ASH47-W starting point
Well a couple of thing to note. With the ASH47 it is kind of with the same Tech as the Doorbell AD410. It does lack the IVS that I did notice the day I connected and setup the camera. Also don't seem to really do much rejection unless it is a good distance from camera. Anything close will be detected as Human.
So with that said no Access to FTP or anything out side of Micro SD and my guess is this is because it is a Smart Home Product. While it does offer ONVIF and other connection methods to Blu Iris, NVR's ASP and AVP there are really limited things that someone can do with the camera. In Truth one will want to make all changes within the Smart Home app. Anything done in a different app or device can make the camera unstable..
If you need FTP then you will want a camera like 1190W (Personally the ASH47 if built better) however the 1190w is a IP camera and looks like ASH47W and even has Human tracking with IVS rules, FTP. However it really wasn't the Quality of build I am used to being Amcrest Device. IT was cheap plastic, gears not as smooth as ASH47W even the antennas look an feel cheap over the ASH47.. Only had it a few days before I returned the 1190w it was just not something I wanted to mount showing the Amcrest Logo for others to see..
In the End, It is a Smart Home product, So it don't have all the offerings of a normal Amcrest IP camera. I have it connected to my Amcrest NVR and installed a 32gb Micro SD for backup in the camera.

Re: ASH47-W starting point
Enabled mine went to test. Got a recording no tracking though maybe in new update it will get worked out. I mean my ash21 and 841v3 while not perfect does al least try to track. Once time up returns to where it started

Re: ASH47-W starting point
OK Well I went and setup the camera on my AI NVR, I have it on CH15 and normally use my NVR in Grid 9 view. SO I setup Ch15 to tour on Motion event. Since the night has fallen I have been getting alerts with motion and tracking is working as expected. Once it is over the camera returns back to the last location. Only thing I have done since enable motion and tracking is setting up the tour and changing the name of the camera from IPC to ASH47W using my NVR to make that change. Out side of that everything is just as setup adding motion back, turning on motion in my NVR, and turning on Tracking.
If yours isn't working maybe doing a Reset back to factory will cure it. IT will have to be setup again however wanting it to return from your starting point is very important for me so I would do a Reset. If after a reset and setting back up if it don't return to last spot I would make a Ticket for Amcrest to step in and might need to RMA it for a Replacement.
