Hello,
What is the purpose of this hardware?
Seems like a cable seal of some sort but I'm not sure how to use it?
Thanks

Re: ASH43 - What is the purpose of this included plastic hardware?
This is setup for cameras that are connected using Ethernet, Rubber bushing slides over camera part, then cable passes the scew in area then main connector, there is another bushing larger that fits in and normally with a slit to fit over a already terminated cable. Then plugs in to camera then push and turn the cable end protector onto camera end and tighten screw down to make tight seal, This helps keep the end from failing from water.. Even a camera end without one of these exposed to rain open to all weather even facing down, I don't know how it does it but without this installed it will fail, The connector, Might take a few years but when you least expect it camera offline, Just hope that it don't damage camera more then just needing a new female end. Took mine 3 years to fail, Again with cable coming up from bottom I never thought it would be an issue and it was. If your ends are not exposed to weather still good to install these protector just to keep in the habit of doing it. But not 100% needed unless exposed.
Be Safe.
