Any cameras with...
tripwire detection. Was looking through various models seeing if any had this feature. I haven't ran across any but just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking any so figured I'd come here and ask. I have one, maybe two cameras I really would like to have this feature on. Thanks.

Nope, Tripwire, I guess it's also known as line crossing detection. You can draw a line on the camera view and say if something cross the line start recording.

ok once it starts recording, when does it stop?
Re: Any cameras with...
Amcrest cameras do not have tripwires, but I suppose you could do it like this.

i like to understand the difference. motion detection starts recording when motion is detected and it stops when there is no more motion detected. tripwire starts recording when wire is tripped, but when does it stop recording? is that the difference between the two?

You would have to pick a camera brand that supports tripwires and see how it was implemented there.amcrest168 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 10:41 am i like to understand the difference. motion detection starts recording when motion is detected and it stops when there is no more motion detected. tripwire starts recording when wire is tripped, but when does it stop recording? is that the difference between the two?
