I've been working on my camera setup and saving the configs so that I can revert when Amcrest Cloud dumbs down the settings. Today we had a power outage, and the settings were effectively lobotomized - the network info was still there, but all of the motion detection settings were wiped. I restored from yerday's backup, and the motion detection settings were not restored. I looked in the DeviceConfig.backup (json format) and I don't see where the zones would be defined; I need to install a json parser on this PC.
I've come to the conclusion that these cameras are great for a hobbyist, but are not useful for actual security in any way, shape or form.
