I had the issue with only getting live view, and "no recording" for video/snapshot when clicking the push notification.
The solution I discovered was to reset the date/time format to default and make sure the camera system times were synced up.
When I initially started setting up my cameras, I changed the default time format to 12h, M/D/Y instead of the default 24H Y/M/D. I believe that the app isn't taking the format change into consideration, or alternately the files created on the SD card will be named according to the date format chosen and the app is unable to locate the proper file. Another possibility is just that I had the time set off by a few minutes, and checking the option to sync with the internet time server made the difference. One or both of these made the difference for me and app works as expected now.
Hope this helps!
Also just noticed that if the system time is updated during recoding this can create an small anomaly while reviewing footage via the app, or shuffle still image capture sequence out of order if 3 or 5 shot burst is selected. I'm not sure if the best practice at this point is to have it sync more often, less often (max is 30 min interval), or to let all cameras get one round of sync in and then disable the auto time update.
Amcrest View Pro App - Push Notification
Re: Amcrest View Pro App - Push Notification
I receive video playback with notifications through the app on my iPhone, but I am also connecting the View Pro app to an Amcrest NVR with hard drive.
Re: Amcrest View Pro App - Push Notification
when push notification alerts you, and you open it up, the wrong camera loads in the live view with no recording.
