Amcrest Surveillence pro WiFi?

Post by drsmooth »

I was unable to get Webplugin.exe to install on Windows 7. I tried disabling anti virus to no avail. I followed other instructions here to try Amcrest Surveillence Pro. It works but I cant seem to figure out how to connect the camera via WiFi. It will only connect thru wired connection.

Is there a way to connect Via WiFi using pro? Unfortunately, I cannot hard wire the camera where it is going.

Did you enter the correct password when you setup wifi? I had that same problem until I went back and entered the router's password.

Thank you for your response! Amcrest Surveillence Pro doesn't give me a option for WiFi , or if it does. I cant find it? Could you tell me where to look?

Hello drsmooth ,

The easiest way to set up camera on wifi would be using a smart phone with Amcrest View Pro app. You can
choose the option 'WiFI Configuration'.

If that does not work, you need to login to the camera web int reface from a web browser to set it up. If you are facing issue on Firefox getting the plugin to work, please try the work around in the below post.
