Need some help with this.
Here's the situation. I have an IPM841B camera set up wireless that captured video of a shoplifting incident today.
The camera has a micro SD card in it but some time several days ago it stopped recording to the sd card. I'm not sure why on that, and will chase that later.
I had also set this camera up to be recorded on PC NVR on my laptop. I viewed the incident using the Playback feature in Amcrest Surveillance Pro, showed it to the police officer who answered my call today, and the suspect was easily nabbed. Stolen item recovered. Good guys win.
However, I need to export a copy of the incident from the PC NVR before it gets overwritten.
When I select the time frame in Amcrest Surveillance Pro and try to clip that section I get an error that says "Failed to get the record(s) of the specified period or the record(s) total size is 0"
I suspect this error is because the export function is attempting to export from the sd card for the time frame rather than the NVR. I need to get a copy of the NVR video and save it.
Can anyone tell me how to do that? The files are definitely in the NVR and not on the SD card in the camera. I physically pulled it and checked it. Newest file on there is 3 days old.
Amcrest Surveillance Pro - Export from PC NVR
Re: Amcrest Surveillance Pro - Export from PC NVR
Hello,
In playback select the PC NVR option from the top right options and select the camera below that and then search for the correct date.
You can go to the play back option on the cameras web UI and search the files, then click on the 'scissor' symbol and then cut the video to the length you need. The files will be saved on the location specified under set up > camera > Record path.
You need to click on the scissor then click on the starting part of the video and then click on the ending part and then click on the scissor again.
