It appears that the cloud app will only record a maximum of 30 seconds... Is there a setting to make this longer?
I had a motion event where a bear walked in front of the camera and started eating my garbage. The camera only recorded up to the bear walking into the center of the frame and then it stopped. Obviously there was more motion going on with the bear knocking over the can and dragging garbage bags out.
Is there a way to make the record window longer or make it actually motion detect properly?
What exactly does the "record delay" function do? Does it have any impact on what the cloud does?

For the cloud, these settings are default and there is no option to increase the recording duration. If the motion continues it should resume recording and add another 30 second clip. record delay will not affect the cloud recording unfortunately. In the camera, check the 'Anti Dither' setting and keep it on a low value like 10 or 15. This is the detection period and if its on a dither value, it might only record one clip during that duration.
