I'm going to try to make this brief:
- Bought a new PC w/ Win10. Chrome hates Amcrest so I installed and used Firefox to view and configure my IP3M-943W.
- Firefox update killed ability to view and configure the IP3M-943W. Called Amcrest support and was told, "Yup, we know. Use IE."
- I begrudgingly began using IE to view and configure my IP3M-943W. Win10 forced an update on me yesterday that killed IE's ability to view and configure my IP3M-943W.
So... IE doesn't work, Chrome doesn't work, and Firefox doesn't work. Camera is now useless.
Can anyone tell me how to view and configure my IP3M-943W?
Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
p.s. Hey, Melvin, where's that magic Chrome fix you promised us YEARS AGO????????

Re: Amcrest camera unusable after recent Win10 update
I'm running three Amcrest cameras now and each one required some IE plug in installation. Two of the cameras are the same exact model. I'm not sure if I keep adding cameras that one of these days a new plug in will wipe out my ability to configure all the other cameras. I don't do Windows 10 updates to avoid the very problem OP has. These are great cameras but depending on IE is a huge single point of failure -- especially with Windows 10 and Microsoft trying to herd their livestock onto Edge. I just need to be able to set the motion detect fields and properly aim the camera. This doesn't have to be fancy with live video. Most of the config, like scheduling, don't even need video. It could be done sending simple snapshot updates that any browser could easily handle.
Re: Amcrest camera unusable after recent Win10 update
Until plug in problems have been resolved download and use Firefox extended release 32 bit version and you will be able to log on to your camera and configure. We have 6 Amcrest 1080p wireless cameras and that's we we had to do to , to continue to be able to make changes or updates.
Re: Amcrest camera unusable after recent Win10 update
A full re-write of the plug in is needed. Moving to HTML5 would be even better and skipping the plug in all together.

DeltaPro, I forgot to thank you for your post. That did the trick. And a note for any else using Firefox ER 32-bit. Turn off auto-update in Firefox or the browser will install updates, you'll lose the ability to get to your cameras, and you'll have to uninstall and reinstall the ER 32-bit version.

Just to mention it, I have not had any problems using IE on Windows 10. Works perfectly fine. It's difficult to ascertain what 'update killed IE' ability...' precisely means, but the issue exhibited by the original poster doesn't seem to be a broad/widespread issue. More likely something with their individual security or IE settings/configuration.
