Hi, have Amcrest 5mp POE (IP5M-T1179EW-AI-V3) cameras and the NVR (NV4108E-A2 4K 8CH POE NVR). It used to work on the old app but recently I noticed a "connection failed" and no cameras would connect.
I installed to amcrest pro 2 app and tried to install it and still get the connection failed. I tried adding it using adding device, search device (which it found my NVR), and tried both add modes (IP/domain/ddns and p2p) and neither work. How do I fix this?
Amcrest app connection failed/no live view
Re: Amcrest app connection failed/no live view
So is it the cameras that are failing or access to NVR that is failing?
You on or off you local network?

Re: Amcrest app connection failed/no live view
When I plug in directly to the NVR with a monitor I can see the cameras. Doesn't connect via the app whether I'm on or off the network
Re: Amcrest app connection failed/no live view
Ok, So here is what I am going to guess is going on.. When you connect to the NVR the IP range changes to something normally 10.1.1.xxx starting with 65.. So if you want to make it work there is a few things you can do..
If you never connected and used the camera on your local IP LAN then you will either want to download the IP cameras tools and make the changes with that or you will need to reset the camera back to factory with the reset switch in the camera..

Re: Amcrest app connection failed/no live view
I'll try the IP cameras tools. So what do I want to set the IP as?
And if that fails I want to reset each individual camera? Not through the NVR factory reset? Thanks

Re: Amcrest app connection failed/no live view
If you don't have the ability to access the camera with the IP tools, Then you will have to reset the camera back to factory with the cameras reset button. So you will want to make that change with the camera connected on your local area network either using a 12v power supply, POE Splitter or connected using a POE Injector or POE Switch..
Connect camera to your local Network. Then using the tools do a search for local cameras even the camera on a different range should show up.. Then once you see the camera you will want to click on the settings tab at teh top and enter the password for your camera. Then click the box in front of the camera, then click on the edit to the right of the camera data.. IT will come up ask if you want DHCP or Static. With static you will want to make sure you know the IP info.. Then to be safe and not have to worry about knowing ip and gateway and subnet .. So While Amcrest does offer one. I would personally look at getting the Dahua tools as it has some better optoins for making changes. I keep forgetting that is what I am using. The Amcrest one is a lite model tool. Works good for searching maybe not so much for making changes on the fly. So doing a search for Dahua IP Config tools is what you would want.. IT will look like the picture below and again will have many options that makes working with IP cameras and DVR/NVRs easier..
