Alarm http event possible? (IP3M-956E)

Post by tedp »

Is it possible to issue an http put or get when an event happens? I looked through the CGI API and could not seeing anything obvious. I am using an IP3M-956E.

Hello tedp ,

Unfortunately the camera cannot handle http requests on event detection.

Look at 6.10 Attach.

Issue a hanging http request (make sure to disable read timeouts) to that camera endpoint and it will respond with events as they occur. Not quite what you wanted, but more or less equivalent if you have a machine that can sit there and keep the hanging connection alive.

Thanks j.s. I looked it up in the cgi, and I'll play with it. The documentation is really poor about the behavior of the command. Have you worked with it? If so, does it only respond with the http upon the event happening?
