I just bought a IP2M-841B and have it behind a firewall which alarmed over some unusual network traffic coming from this camera. It's trying to authenticate with a WSSE server at p2p.amcrestview.com on UDP port 8800 and it hits the firewall with 3 packets a second. The firewall doesn't let 8800 through but it alarms over traffic like that.
It also accesses a web page at command-1.amcrestcloud.com which returns what looks like some JSON like text with urls to firmware. Does firmware install automatically on these devices? There's some encrypted traffic that gets through on TCP port 443 at config.amcrestcloud.com
Is there a way on the camera to disable all Internet access? I can do it at the firewall but that doesn't scale well with a lot of cameras on a subnet.
