When I try to update the firmware it fails and reboots. I see in the video they put a .pak on the USB drive, odd it's a zip file you download. So I extract the pak and try it. Same issue.
Am I missing something?

Yes you need to extract and select the PUK file and update. The PUk file shuld be on the root folder of the drive. It should not be inside any other folder. If it does not work, please try updating from the web interface on PC.
