While I don't personally have that camera. I did help my Son hook 2 up to his home. I do have a 1080P Turret style camera like it by another manufacture and will say that his and mine while they look alike his is much better quality in many ways. Not only in Build quality of the 4k but the quality of the camera as well.

One of the things I liked most about the camera is there is only 1 IR. Most IR cameras use the IR that looking at the camera you can see the faint red led. These have no glow that can be seen by your eye. However you put your Cell phone up towards it the cell phone camera will pick it up...

One thing about this camera and I feel someone looking to buy should know. you do have to take it apart to access the MSD slot. While it isn't that big of an issue. I just like people to know that it isn't as easy as taking it down removing a cover and slip in the card. You will need to Remove the Ring that holds camera to base. This is held on with a Screw that is star head and tool is provided. Then once you can access the camera back, you take out the 3 screws. Once that is open you can then remove 2 other screws that hold the board to the camera body. At this time the camera is apart. Insert the MSD and put things back together in reverse of taking apart.

Also please note to be safe I feel it is important to know these MSD slots on my sons you needed to move the cage away from lens to edge. Once card was in the mount slide the cage toward the lens. For me I personally don't like this style of MSD slot but loads of Cameras use them. Good news about them once installed it isn't going to be easy for a Thief to just take out the MSD and run.

Picture quality is very nice. Funny thing is that i thought his had a better picture quality then my 1080p camera at night in low light in color. My son thinks they are the same. His running at night in B/W was much better quality then mine running in either mode lol...

Is it better then the Domes? For most people I am going to guess that would be yes. Alot of times dome cameras if talking about true dome cameras can have reflections more often then not no matter how well you try to keep it away form Reflective areas.

Also might want to make sure you want the 2.8mm lens over the 4mm lens as I think both lens options are offered. 2.8 will have more FOV and the 4.0 lens will be slightly zoomed in and smaller FOV.
Be Safe.

Thanks for the info Revo2Maxx,so it should be lot better then 4mp cameras. I probably won't use the MSD slot, just recording to a NVR with 6TB drive. My garage system has the 4mp dome cameras, they work good but looking for something better for my house. They make so many different brands of NVR's but I'm happy with the Amcrest product. Not sure if any of the other brands would be any better, so I will stick with what I like. Amcrest has good prices and easy to get.

Glad to hear you like the Amcrest Products. Not only do I really like the Quality of the products I like the ability for a company to stand behind them. Even as far as testing out sometimes in higher support tier. Say you have a product that acts a way. They try and find the issue over tech data. If nothing they will try and bench test to see if they get the same results, If they do then they try and find a Solution to help with the call back to the Customer.

Is the Support 100% perfect? Well how can it be we are all human. So the Support staff is human as well. However most I have dwelt with seem to care about the happiness of the Customer. I have dwelt with other companies that seem to only have 1 thing in common. How fast can they get you out of their Email que or phone pool.

Lifetime support can be hard to produce. You have to always have someone that has knowledge of Legacy Products. It isn't always easy to find help with that.
Be Safe.
