853EW Enable Manual Control Trigger?

Anyone with info about what this really means? I mean I can see the manual says This checkbox allows the user to enable manual PTZ control triggered events, yet there is no other info? Does this mean something like when someone using the PTZ of the camera if that Checked the camera will start recording like it is an event by static motion?

Anyone ever messed with it on and with it off to see what happens if anything?

I turn that on when I am testing something and need to trigger a motion detect event to occur.  Just move PTZ direction control a little to get event.  Easier than going out to camera to trigger an event.
