I have a 1920 TVL I believe. Darn power jack pin broke. Come on, it was in window, then I stapled the wire down the moulding to ac. How much stress can that be?
Well moot point because I snapped off the jack and found a point for vIN.
It starts, but light goes red instantly.
Responds only to ICMP PING. no tcp anything, scanned it. I try reset but it keeps settings. Connected by lan and Wi-Fi.
Tried holding reset for a minute..
Still retains settings... maybe if I could reset it, it would work.
Help?

I am sorry to hear about the jack breaking off, I can defiantly see that if enough pressure was applied I could see it snapping. Was the light on the back green before it snapped?
These cameras are usually quite reliable and don't usually have any issues where a reset does not resolve the issue. However, if holding the button does not work this is an indication that there is another issue with the camera. It could be FW related or Hardware.
