Hello Everyone,
I bought a QSD 722 for a friend and I'm having a problem where the unit won't turn on. This is actually the second camera I'm having a problem with so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. With the first camera, I first installed the widget software on her laptop and then hooked up the camera to the laptop where it was recognized correctly. I was able to successfully format the SanDisk 64 GB SD card that's in the camera and was then able to successfully update the date/time settings. I then right clicked the camera and selected "eject" and removed the USB cable from the camera and laptop. Problem is, when I pressed the power button, the LED light would turn green then flash red and then turn off. I tried pressing and holding the power button for several seconds but that was of no help, the LED with stay green for as long as I held the button but once I let go the LED would flash red and turn off. I figured the battery may be dead (even though the camera was attached to the laptop for at least three hours) and so charged the camera overnight with the DC charger. I still had the same problem the next day.
I ordered a replacement camera from Amazon but this time the first thing I did was charged the camera with its DC charger overnight. I then hooked it up to my PC where the widget software was already installed and updated the date/time settings. I also noticed in Windows Explorer the cameras several .DAT files, i.e. schedule.dat etc. I again ejected the camera, removed the USB cable and tried turning on the camera but had the same exact problem as with the first camera.
Should the camera boot up even if there's no SD card present? Or, if there's a bad SD card? The manual reads "Without 5V DC adapter...Red LED on: no card, card failed, battery low, or card is full." There's a chance the SD card I'm using is bad but I'm assuming the camera would at least still boot up?
Any info you all can provide on this problem is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Disregard my previous post, found the problem. Turns out the Sandisk 64 GB SD card in the camera was faulty even though it formatted OK & was showing in Windows Explorer. Once I swapped it out for a different SD, I was able to turn the camera on as noted in the instructions.
