2 IP POE Cameras 1 Ethernet Port
As much as the title sounds like a joke I am having some serious problems at the moment. I've been searching around on the internet a lot and haven't really found the answer to my question. At first I was looking around how to connected an IP camera directly to my desktop that way it won't take any of my bandwidth from my hotspot, not only that but the quality looks so much better when directly connected to an ethernet port. I ended up finding this post https://amcrest.com/forum/technical-dis ... t1487.html which solved that one issue for me. The question however that I want answered. Is how to set up 2 POE cameras to my 1 Desktop Ethernet port. At first I was thinking about simply getting 2 POE injectors along with a USB to Ethernet adapter and there you go. I have 2 ethernet ports, I have 2 injectors to power the camera's lets go. However I wasn't certain if the same thing could be done. Would I have to give both cameras their own Static IP address? How would I go about this? Then another idea came into mind, what if I use a POE ethernet switch that way I wouldn't have to buy 2 POE injectors, save myself some money and not have a cluttered mess full of power adapters from the 2 separate injectors I thought about buying. Could I just plug the switch to my Desktop directly and give both cameras their own separate static Ip Addresses? If so how? Or maybe I could use some sort of software to detect both cameras that would be attached to the switch? I hope someone here can give me some answers, and please don't mention a Router, I don't have one, and don't mention wifi either. Thank you everyone for your time.

Hello SenseiPichu ,
I am not 100% sure but you can try this. Connect the PC to the uplink port of the POE switch and then connect the cameras to the POE switch. On the computer use the IP config to set static IP's for the camera.
Like in the other link you visited the computers LAN port should be set to have a static IP at the 192.168.1.xx range.
